Eric A. Andrzejak received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University in 1970. He graduated cum laude from the Detroit College of Law (now affiliated with Michigan State University) in 1974 and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan that same year.

For more than 30 years, Mr. Andrzejak has specialized in the field of automobile negligence and no-fault litigation. For five years, he practiced as an in house trial attorney for the Auto Club Insurance Association where he initially gained extensive litigation experience in the defense of automobile and no-fault actions. He subsequently broadened his base of practice to include nearly all civil litigation matters related to the areas of insurance and personal injury defense. Mr. Andrzejak’s principal areas of practice include automobile negligence, no-fault, fire and property loss and premises liability litigation. He has significant trial experience in litigating personal injury and property loss claims. Insurance companies often rely upon his expertise and advise regarding issues related to the complexities of the Michigan no-fault law as well as matters involving insurance coverage disputes. He has also served as a defense arbitrator and mediator on behalf of numerous insurance carriers throughout the state.

Mr. Andrzejak is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Michigan. He is a member of the Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Association of Defense Trial Counsel.

Thomas E. Keenan received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in 1971 and his juris doctor from Ohio Northern University in 1975. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1975 and immediately joined the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office where, as a senior trial attorney, he gained extensive jury trial experience which included the prosecution of a significant number of high profile criminal cases.

Mr. Keenan moved into the civil arena in 1979. Since then, he has tried cases in federal and state courts throughout Michigan in virtually all areas of civil litigation including medical and professional malpractice, products liability, construction site law, environmental law, premises liability, liquor liability, nursing home/assisted living negligence, pharmacy and drug liability, contract law, auto negligence and aviation law. His skill in preparing and taking to trial even the most complex matters was demonstrated in his successful defense of Texas Instruments in the federal multi-district litigation arising out of the Northwest Airlines Flight 255 air disaster.

He has given seminars for corporate clients and has produced legal reference manuals to assist them in risk management. He serves as a circuit court mediator and has been selected as an arbitrator by both the plaintiff and defense bar.

Mr. Keenan is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel, Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan and was a charter member in the Michigan Lawyers and Pilots Bar Association.

Daniel P. King received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1976 and his juris doctor from the Detroit College of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1980.

Mr. King, for the past 24 years, has concentrated his practice in the areas of toxic tort and environmental litigation, multi-party and complex litigation, insurance coverage issues and litigation involving personal injury and contracting issues for the trucking, petroleum and chemical industry. He has defended clients in numerous mass tort chemical exposure and property damage claims not only in Michigan but throughout the country. Mr. King was a lead defense counsel representing Armstrong World Industries in the Michigan school class action asbestos property damage case. He also served on the original steering committee in Wayne County Circuit Court to set up the format for handling asbestos litigation throughout Michigan. Mr. King currently serves as coordinating counsel for a number of parties in various toxic litigation throughout the country.

His vast experience in environmental litigation encompasses representation of individuals, corporations, and insurance companies in both state and federal administrative and litigation proceedings, including claims under CERCA, RCRA, and the state counterparts. Mr. King successfully defended the first pollution contribution claim in Michigan [Forest City Enterprises, Inc v Leeman Oil Company 228 Mich App 57 (1988)] and obtained an award of sanctions in excess of $100,000 for his client. Mr. King has represented numerous companies and their insurance carriers involved in the trucking industry both for personal injury, property damage and commercial issues. Combined with his experience in environmental and toxic tort litigation, he has successfully represented trucking companies or their carriers in claims involving both personal injury and property damage in the hauling of hazardous materials as well as injuries arising out of vehicular accidents.

Mr. King is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Michigan as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the Environmental Litigation Committee and the Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and the Association of Defense Trial Counsel.

Paul E. Pedersen received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1971 and his juris doctor from the Detroit College of Law (now affiliated with Michigan State University) in 1974. He was admitted to practice and became a member of the State Bar of Michigan the same year.

Early in his career, Mr. Pedersen quickly built a solid reputation as a successful trial attorney.

Concentrating on the area of professional liability, he has consistently produced significant results defending civil litigation with clients representing the fields of:

• General employment litigation, with an emphasis in municipal law

Particularly recognized for his close association and unique understanding of the complexities of the medical community, Mr. Pedersen’s strong ability to translate difficult information into that which can be easily understood by the jury is paramount. This was dramatically emphasized with his use of innovative technology utilizing animated graphics in the successful outcome of a lawsuit against a pharmaceutical manufacturer in which it was alleged that medication induced a condition similar to an AIDS condition.

Mr. Pedersen’s intensity, compassion, and care coupled with his concise attention to detail led to a natural expansion of his expertise to the practice of family law. He specializes in complex divorce and property settlement cases and has a particular concern for the sensitive issues surrounding child custody.

He is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Michigan and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Pedersen is an active member of the Negligence and Family Law Sections of the Michigan Bar Associate, the Association of Defense Counsel, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He currently serves as a Council Member of the Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Michael M. Wachsberg received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1973 and his juris doctor from Detroit College of Law in 1978. He joined the State Bar of Michigan in the same year.

Mr. Wachsberg has been practicing as a defense trial attorney for almost 26 years. During his career he has handled all types of civil actions including the representation of companies and individuals in general liability and product liability matters. He has developed particular expertise in representing contractors, owners, subcontractors, and design professionals in all aspects of construction litigation, including arbitration and trial.

His extensive experience with a number of large contracting firms has enabled him to effectively deal with the numerous interrelationships that exist between various parties on a construction site. He also has extensive experience in representing a number of municipalities and their employees in all types of legal matters including police, zoning, and constitutional issues. He has litigated numerous cases in both the state and federal courts in Michigan, including the appellate court level.

Mr. Wachsberg has served as a lecturer in areas involving construction and municipal issues. Recognition of his trial skills has resulted in his selection as an arbitrator, facilitator, special mediator and circuit court mediator in a number of jurisdictions.
